In a market where every company claims to be AI-powered, the story a founder tells can make or break them. Dan Landau helps founders get that story right. As the head of marketing at AI Fund, he works directly with founders from the earliest stages of company formation to help them find, sharpen, and tell the story that makes investors, customers, and talent pay attention.
Technology is the table stakes. The story is what makes people choose you.
He helps founders find two things: their personal reason for existing, and the concrete cost to the people whose problem goes unsolved. That combination — the founder’s conviction and the human cost of the problem going unsolved — is what cuts through in a crowded market.
“Anyone can describe what a product does. The job is to make someone feel what changes if they don’t have it,” says Dan.
Before AI Fund, Dan spent more than a decade leading marketing across SaaS, agency, and higher education environments. His agency work spanned B2B technology, SaaS, and professional services — running campaigns from strategy through execution that generated thousands of leads and earned recognition across multiple industry awards.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade in university communications — working across media relations, social channels, and managing a team of student content creators. He holds master’s degrees in corporate communication and management, and a bachelor’s in history, all from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Outside of work, Dan authored illustrated Fearless Portraits: Women Who Dared to Transform the World, a book of hand-drawn portraits and biographical narratives celebrating women who changed the world.
