Isha leads key accounting and forecasting functions for the management company, provides portfolio company monitoring, and supports capital management and fund activities. She utilizes AI and coding tools to streamline and automate recurring finance workflows, bringing both technical rigor and analytical depth to AI Fund’s day-to-day financial operations.
She built that discipline at EY in Mumbai, where she spent nearly six years on statutory audits, tax audits, and group reporting for multinational, publicly listed clients, work that spanned Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. “Numbers only tell you the real story when you understand the business behind them. That’s what audit taught me, and it’s what I bring to fund accounting now,” she says.
After moving to Canada, she earned a Master of Business Analytics from the University of British Columbia. She worked as a reporting analyst at Powerex, handling fund accounting and valuations at Orbis Investments, and then joined 3SPOKE, a secondaries firm serving GPs and LPs, where she managed the firm’s finance function and deepened her exposure to private-market position valuations.
Isha holds a Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a bachelor’s in commerce from H.R. College of Commerce & Economics, and a Master of Business Analytics from UBC. Outside of work, she keeps a patio garden at home, growing tomatoes, lemons, herbs, and chili peppers.
