Kirsty Tan

​​Kirsty Tan has spent more than two decades at the intersection of technology, strategy, and education — advising organizations, building companies, and developing leaders across three continents. As General Partner of AI Fund’s Growth Fund, she brings that perspective directly to bear on investment decisions, while opening access to enterprise channels for portfolio companies.

Her role at AI Fund is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: AI is not just a business tool — it’s a force for human possibility. “AI enables our future generations to be the commander of their own future,” she says. “They don’t have to climb the corporate ladder. They can make a difference in this world.” That conviction shapes how she evaluates opportunity, engages with founders, and thinks about what companies are ultimately for.

Kirsty currently leads AI Aspire, a venture focused on helping professionals and organizations navigate the AI era. Working with enterprises from the C-suite down, she helps organizations build lasting AI capability — and brings that same network of enterprise relationships directly to AI Fund’s portfolio.

What sets Kirsty apart is a rare combination of deep business experience and hard-won credibility. She built her early career at KPMG before founding her own consulting firm, advising some of the world’s most well-known enterprises.

Her tenure in academia is where business expertise met real scale. As International Dean and Professor at École des Ponts ParisTech and Tsinghua University, she designed curriculum for EMBA programs in future technology and aerospace, working across Beijing, Paris, and Toulouse. She was designing these programs from the ground up — built for the future, as she puts it — shaping how the next generation of global leaders would think about technology and business. Years later, a student from her first graduating cohort sought her out to say, “You made my dream come true.”

Kirsty is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa. She holds a PhD in international business with high honors from the International School of Management in Paris, an MBA from Deakin University, a bachelor’s degree with a triple major in commercial law, information systems, and accounting, and is a Chartered Accountant.
